Technology in Empire Earth II plays a vital role in who wins and who looses. In the following guide hopefully you will learn a little on how to use technology to your advantage, happy reading!
Technology points are a very important. Without them, you can not advance to a new epoch or develop new technologies. To collect technology points you can either get them through universities, temples or trade.
Universities - To collect technology points from Universities, you must garrison citizens in this type of building. The more citizens you garrison the quicker they generate technology points. You can garrison more and more citizens in them by researching various technologies. You can only have a maximum of one university per territory. You can normally garrison 3 citizens in each university.
Temples - To collect technology points from temples, you must garrison priests in this type of building. The more priests you garrison the quicker they generate technology points. You can garrison more and more priests in them by researching various technologies. You can only have a maximum of one temple per territory. You can normally garrison 2 priests in each temple.
Trade - You may also gain technology points through trade. If you have a trade route with another player who is at a higher epoch than yourself, each time one of your trade units reaches their market or dock there is a chance that you will gain technology points. You can only have a maximum of one market per territory. You can have as many trade units as you can afford to have within the population limits.

You need to research at least 6 of the technologies available for each Epoch before you are allowed to research to advance to the next Epoch. You can research more then the required for epoching up, but it is a delicate balance between accessing higher level units and technology versus giving up on researching certain techs from earlier epochs which maybe helpful later.
