If your comment contains a spoiler, hide it using: !This is a spoiler.!!Mario saves Peach.! Conceptually, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is a loot game like Diablo. The game mechanics are different, obviously in terms of the 3d, but not so obvious in the way the player classes work: the classes are extrinsic: they're based on the weapon you wield rather than intrinsic to your character.
Much of the appeal of the game's due to crafting armor and weapons off the monster you hunt, and you can see progression by looking at the stuff your character is wearing. In that respect, I think that's pretty close to what motivates Diablo players. But what makes Monster Hunter different from Diablo is the emphasis on the bosses, rather than the low-level minions. MH3U is all about taking down the bosses. Take a look at if you're interested. Eh, I wouldn't go so far as to say they're similar, but I'm still upvoting you because I can see how someone who really liked Diablo I and II (such as me) might also like MH3U.Basically, MH is completely missing the random loot and grinding by clearing levels full of small mobs part of Diablo.
Instead of random gear, you strictly craft everything you use on purpose. Bridge constructor portal level 16 walkthrough 3. You'll never get a new rare sword as a random drop etc. The only randomness is which monster parts drop or appear in quest rewards, but if you grind one of them long enough you know exactly what gear you're eventually going to craft from it. There's still tons of items and armor that has skills on it and so on, but the motivation is completely different.
Thanks deufeufeu for the translation patch, although I must admit that I've not used it as I'm really hoping for a full English localization of this title.I HAVE been using what you packaged up for JUS along with the rest of the group, and also thank you for that, although I'm still on a patch that didn't translate the main menu and some of the others things and find it confusing as all hell. (Truth to tell it's not really my kind of game either, so I don't feel like expending the effort on looking up more for it.
