Well, and it’s also because I still see tons of college uniforms and arenas in things like MyTeam:But every time I see this stuff it just makes me want a college basketball game all over again. We talk plenty about how much of a bummer it was to lose NCAA Football, but it’s been even longer since we’ve had a College Hoops 2K game. It’s a series that was at the peak of its powers and was then just gone in a flash. For all the talk about how maybe we could finally get college football back at some point, we can’t forget about college basketball either.Beyond the Legacy mode stories, we don’t quite have “full” rosters for College Hoops 2K8 on our forums for this most recent season, but buck2buckus and TreyzAllDayz have both given it the ol’ college try as it relates to getting a updated for the ongoing season (one worked on Xbox 360, the other on PS3).Anyway, do any of you still play Legacy mode?
I went to Circuit City to buy 2K8, but they were sold out and had 2k7 on clearance for $8.96, so I got that to try out the series. I started playing the Legacy mode last night and I just simmed through a few seasons to get a feel for the process. I play closed legacy. So far im in my first coaching stint, at the AllAmerican Level. My first team was Sacramento St. I coached there 8 years, missed the tourney the first 3 years, but made it the next 5 years.they have an amazing shooting guard as a junior when you start, he lead the conference in scoring and 3pt%, he scored 50! In my 3rd game.
CA is a good state to start in because they have a great recruiting pool.i moved on to George Mason, and then to Boston College (3 championships in 16 years there). I have yet to try anyone other than Sac St., but i recommend 'em.
You might want to check out Grambling/any team in the SWAC. In my 'chise, they are #32 in conference ranking, but gives you a great chance of seeing some March Madness in year one where you will undoubetbly lose to a #1 seed.but at least your conference schedule features a nice competitive balance.Grambling has been nice for me with Kendric Baker and Andre' Ratliff as the two guards who, if left open can bury jumpers from anywhere and Ratliff is dynamite from three.
