The view is great, the kitchen has everything you need, the bed is very comfortable. The hosts, Velid and Amila, were very helpful to us and communicated well throughout our stay. Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but that didn’t bother us a bit since we only went out one or two times per day. We really liked being in this area of the city - it is near the part of the river that is nicest for walking or jogging. Good stores and restaurants in this neighborhood too.

He was great at answering any questions I had very quickly and was really friendly. The neighbourhood was quiet and felt safe.
As other reviewers have said, there's a shop and supermarket within walking distance (about 10 mins). I also walked into town most of the time but taxis or public transport are available too. Sarajevo was a beautiful place unlike anywhere else I've been, everyone was kind and friendly and I loved exploring.

The place is nice and feels homely, as if you were visiting your grandma on summer holidays.:o) The location is good, too. There are three convenience stores which you'll reach by foot in 5 minutes, and two malls slightly farther away. There's also a bus stop near the mosque. The Old Town is an hour away by foot.
Only two things to watch out for: 1. The internet connection is acting up sometimes, and 2.
The kitchen faucet handles are mixed up — red is cold, blue is hot. Be careful.:o) To sum it up, Sarajevo is a fantastic town, generous on unique experiences, with friendly nice people and delicious food. Absolutely coming back again! This neighborhood is recognizable by the fact that there are buildings that are heritage from the period of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The building was constructed by Austrian bussinesman August Braun, who named it and the neighborhood by his wife's name, Marija.
