Project × Zone was released on October 11.
Project X Zone 2, the new role playing game developed by Monolith Soft. featuring characters taken from Nintendo, SEGA, Capcom and Bandai Namco series, is finally getting released this week on Nintendo 3DS in Japan and the popular Japanese magazine Famitsu is going to include some more details on the game in this week’s issue.
According to the magazine’s official website, the next issue of Famitsu will include information on characters that will help fans in getting started on the game as well as an interview with the team. The Japanese magazine has also revealed a DLC pack including special equipment that players will be able to download thanks to a special code included in the soon to be released new issue. Project X Zone 2 is going to be available in Japan as a standard edition and a Limited Edition including a variety of extra goodies. Among the extras included in this Limited Edition is an interesting bonus game, a new version of the Bandai Namco title Valkyrie no Bōken: Toki no Kagi Densetsu – The Adventure of Valkyrie: The Legend of the Time Key featuring Xiamou as playable character. A video showcasing the bonus game has been made available online last week. As the original game hasn’t been released in the West, we have no idea if this unique extra is going to be made available when Project X Zone 2 launches next year in North America and Europe.
Project X Zone 2 will be released in two days, on November 12th in Japan exclusively on Nintendo 3DS. The North American and European releases will come sometime next year. We will let you know more about the game’s Western release date as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news.
In this week’s issue, Famitsu has some new details about Project X Zone 2: Brave New World. The magazine only comes out on Thursday in Japan, but thanks to the usual leaks, we won’t have to wait for it to be available before finding out what those new details are all about!First, we have the Japanese release date: November 12th.

Here’s what’s included in the second one:– Original Game Sound Edition: a special edition of the game, with a rather neat feature allowing you to switch from the music for Project X Zone 2 to the one from the original titles (and vice-versa). There’s a total of 60 songs included (not counting the tracks composed for Project X Zone 2);– a download code for “Adventure of Valkyrie: Legend of the Key of Time with Xiamou” (a special version of the game from Namco Anthology 2, with Xiamou as a playable character);– “Namco X Capcom 10th Anniversary Resource”: a special package illustrated by Takuji Kawano (Soul Calibur series);– a special “Namco X Capcom 10th Anniversary Resource” Nintendo 3DS Theme.Famitsu magazine also lists the first-print bonuses for the game:– a download code for “Woman of ’10 Years’ Past'”, a challenge map. If you beat it, you can get a special item called “Black Hotpants”;– a download code for a special Nintendo 3DS Theme.Finally, Famitsu magazine does have some details about the gameplay, and more precisely a new technique introduced in Project X Zone 2 called “Mirage Cancel”. It allows you to suspend a normal attack and enter slow motion by pressing the B button, so that you can take your time and aim for a critical hit during your next attack. However, this technique doesn’t work with Pair Units.Project X Zone 2: Brave New World (3DS) comes out on November 12th in Japan, and this Autumn in Europe and North America.
